Snap happy

Nine days in Japan and I have become one of those bloggers who photographs their food.

I know, I know, I said I would never do it, but the food was just so beautifully presented over there, and I was with two other people who started every course with around of happy snapping, so why not? When in Rome (Tokyo) 'n' all that...

Bacon jelly, basil paste and milk foam with pasta, Botanica, Tokyo.

Deep-fried eggplant with sesame sauce, chilled sweet corn soup and eel sushi, Tofuya Ukai Hana, Tokyo.

Sushi platter, Sushi-dooro, Sapporo. I made it myself!

Wild vegetables salad with marscapone, proscuitto and pesto dressing, L'enfant qui reve, Sapporo.

Kinky fish cooked in sake with tofu and daikon, Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no uta, Lake Shikotsu.

Rice with salmon and salmon roe, Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no uta, Lake Shikotsu.

Okinawa pork soba, Ufu ya, Okinawa.

  1. I total get it! I was late to start too ... I have so many eating experiences where I now wish I had been one of those people who photographs their food, a whole lot earlier - what a great way to create a keepsake of your own memories - let alone letting you share it with all of us :))
